Cookies and consent
This page explains what your browser stores and how to change your choices.
Necessary storage
The portfolio pages do not use visitor analytics. Local photographs, fonts and music clips load without analytics or marketing cookies. Necessary storage supports sign-in, consent management and the language you choose. It is based on Section 25(2) TDDDG and, where personal data are processed, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
| Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cmplz_* | Saves your YouTube consent or refusal and the version of the consent information. | 365 days |
| lt_language_choice | Local browser storage for the language you choose using DE or EN. | Valid for one year; removed on the next visit after expiry |
| pll_language | Language cookie used by existing WordPress pages where enabled. | One year |
| Session storage | Temporary storage for consent controls in the open tab. | Until the tab closes |
| WordPress sign-in | Authentication and settings in the administration area. | Session or chosen sign-in duration |
Language choice
On your first visit to the home page, the browser language selects German for German-language browsers and English otherwise. A choice made using DE or EN is saved on your device and remains valid for one year. An expired entry is removed on your next visit. Direct page links keep their language. No location service is contacted and no IP address is used to select a language.
YouTube
The embedded YouTube player on the German band page stays blocked until you consent. The video and related scripts load only after you allow them. Google may process data for functionality, analytics, personalisation and advertising and may associate viewing with a signed-in Google account. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The English band page links directly to the same video on YouTube.
The cookies used depend on your sign-in status and browser settings. Google lists YSC for the session, __Secure-YNID for six months and __Secure-YENID for 13 months. Current details are in Google’s explanation of cookies.
Changing consent
Use “Manage consent” in the YouTube consent banner or at the bottom of the page to change your choice at any time. Withdrawal applies to future visits and does not reverse data already sent. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected.
You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The rest of the portfolio remains available without YouTube consent.
